Well its the Friday before Michelle is due to leave and I'm setting up some basic tools on the laptop that should help us on our journey.
Basically I've spent the last 10 minutes seeing to it that a myriad of clocks, currency converters, weather forecasts and first aid information can explode onto the screen with the press of a button. Meanwhile I'm still not 100% sure if I have any pants that will survive the temperature.
There is a worrying amount of tech luggage building up. I was feeling like a helpless yuppie back when it was only going to be my big camera following us on the journey, now its the big camera, cam charger, laptop, laptop power supply, external memory card reader, possibly another SMALL camera, as well as a variety of data and power cables for each accessory. I'm going to look like a god damn astronaut.
Still, I expect there will be a lot less lugging on this trip, and not as much (or any?) shared accommodation. I expect myself and The Bags will form an amicable Explorer/Mission Control relationship.
The things I do for you people...

Looking forward to some entertaining contacts Matt. I have passed this on to Dave's parents too, so we will all be watching with interest. Keep safe and much love
